A fit body allows for greater ease in performing acts of worship such as salah (prayer), fasting during Ramadan, and even Hajj or Umrah, all of which require physical effort.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of a balanced diet, regular movement, and avoiding harm to the body. By maintaining good health, we are better able to engage in acts of ibadah (worship) with focus and dedication, fulfilling our purpose as servants of Allah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught that true strength is not merely physical but also the ability to control one’s emotions and actions. He said, “The strong person is not the one who can overpower others [in wrestling]; rather, the strong person is the one who can control himself when he is angry” (Sahih al-Bukhari). Engaging in sports fosters mental resilience, helping individuals manage stress, anger, and frustration in a manner that is pleasing to Allah.

Sporting activities provide an opportunity to strengthen bonds of friendship and unity within the Muslim community.
